Getting to know Owen.
1. How long have you been skating and how did you get started?
I've been skating for five years. I started because I saw a group of guys at the skatepark in my neighborhood and I felt like giving it a try. I haven't stopped since.
2. What do you like most about roller freestyle?
What I love most is the feeling of freedom and being able to learn new tricks every week. I also love meeting other riders at events.
3. What's your favorite trick or the one you're trying to learn now?
My favorite trick is soul, but now I'm trying to get the acid beat faster.
4. Where do you usually train and who do you like to skate with?
I usually train at the Camas skatepark, Plaza de Armas, and I also really like The Home Indoor. I usually skate with Gonza Chatarra Rosella and other friends from my club.
5. What is your goal for this season?
My goal for this season is to learn many new tricks. Although I've been skating for 5 years, now is when I'm skating more fluidly. I would love to land the front flip well, which is the first flip trick I'm trying, and of course all the grind tricks.
