1. How long have you been skating and how did you get started?

I've been skating since April 2023. I quit modern dance because I didn't like following choreography. Fun Riders, the group Borja Fernández belonged to, held classes on Fridays at the Decathlon store, and I decided to give it a try. The store aisles, marked off by bars and tape, were my first experience with skates. I quickly got bored with the cones and started jumping ramps. In June, when the classes ended, Alain and Asier (my first coaches) recommended I go to Bilbobladers, and in October 2023 I started my aggressive skating lessons with Víctor Medrano.

2. What do you like most about roller freestyle?

Jumping, running, spinning, grinding—it all takes a huge amount of energy, which, according to the people around me, I need every day. I feel great when I'm skating, and even though I sometimes get frustrated when something doesn't go right, the feeling when you achieve something new is indescribable. Few things make me focus as much as skating.

3. What's your favorite trick or the one you're trying to learn now?

My favorite trick to do is the misty 9 and my next step will be the 1080.

4. Where do you usually train and who do you like to skate with?

I try to go to different skateparks because each one has different features. Last year I skated a lot with Markel, but he's not here this year and I miss him a lot. I like skating with Eneritz and Nagore because they motivate me a lot and are great friends. And when Fredder comes with us, even though he pushes us hard, we have a blast. He gives us a lot of confidence and helps us learn tons of tricks. I also love playing tag with Ibai, Oier, Joel, Jonlu... and I learn a lot from the older guys: Aratz, Vir, Truko, Jay, Ganesh, Eukene, Sory, Adri, Txalbi, Barbas...

5. What is your goal for this season?

Improving myself every day, learning to get less angry when something doesn't go my way, trying new things, meeting up again with skaters from other places, and having a great time.
